Uploading Your Artwork (FTP)
Using Our FTP Server
Using our FTP you may submit files anytime that is convenient for you. Please note that our FTP server uses only Passive (PASV) Transfer mode. Each individual user is assigned their own unique username and password which automatically directs you to your own directory. However, please use a naming convention when uploading files that will allow our staff to easily identify the project in which the files belong (i.e. purchase order number, project title).
For an FTP account please either see your Account Executive or fill out this form.

Compressing
Files Saves Space and Time
File
compression has been used to squeeze huge files onto floppies for
years. By using space-saving encoding, many compression programs
can compress files up to an amazing 98%.
Compressing
your files into one archive makes uploading a snap! And with a single
attachment, downloading is just as easy. Compressed files take up
less space, thereby taking less time to transmit.
Possibly
the most important reason to compress your files is to safeguard
against file corruption. Files are often altered and sometimes damaged
during their voyage through cyberspace. Compressed files are not
as susceptible to corruption as files that haven't been compressed.
Please
use "StuffIt" in the Mac world & WinZip in the PC/IBM-compatible
world.
Uploading
Fonts
Sometimes,
transmission of a font over the Internet can cause it to become
corrupted. For instance, fonts are stored on the Macintosh in two
different parts. Attempting to upload one of these fonts will result
in only one of these parts being uploaded, thus corrupting it. We
highly recommend that you combine any font files with the other
files in your job using a compression/archive utility. This will
cause both parts of the font to be included as well as giving you
a smaller file to upload.
File
Upload Times
The
time it takes to upload your file will vary, depending on the file
size and the speed at which you are connected to the Internet. Here
are some typical times you may encounter for a one megabyte (1 MB)
